WHO WE ARE
Established in 2016, The Adelaide University Economics Students’ Society (AUESS) is a student-led organisation historically affiliated with the University of Adelaide. At the new Adelaide University, we are the representative body for students in Economics and related degrees across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and we're totally free to join!
WHAT WE DO
Throughout the academic year, we organise and facilitate a wide range of educational, professional, and social events. With an average of 1 event per fortnight, there are so many exciting events for you to discover, ranging from our flagship Careers Night, where you can hear from and network with representatives from top Economics employers, to our annual Budget Night Bingo and Wine Tour, where our community comes together for a bit of fun.
We also run our own blog and newsletter, and give our members the opportunity to become published authors!
OUR COMMUNITY
As one of the University of Adelaide’s front-running legacy societies, we have strong connections with faculty and academia, our fellow student societies, the Young Economists Network (YEN), and the Women in Economics Network (WEN). We are also well-connected with industry members, including our generous sponsors.
With over 450 members, the strength of our student engagement and community is the cornerstone of our success as a society, and continuing to grow our friendly, active, and connected student family is at the heart of our mission.
